Miju started life at a breeding facility for Oshawotts, living with her brothers and her parents. When she hatched her gender was a surprise, as female Oshawotts are rare due to their low gender ratio. Thrilled with this news, her father spends time with her, taking her out for swims in the nearby ocean and gives her extra training.

She got along well with her brothers and would often play fight with them, which developed her into a tomboy. When the time came for her to go to be with a trainer, it was a tearful goodbye. At Dass'es birthday party, he chose Tepig for his starter and named him Romeo, commented about Manny's Snivy (Jade) saying how she looked cool, and Mags's Oshawott, saying how she looked ugly causing Miju to cry.

Mags shrugs off Dass'es comment and takes her new Oshawott to a nearby cafe which serves parfaits, along with Manny and his new Snivy. As Manny tries to think of a name for his Snivy, Mags decides to call her little Oshawott Miju. Miju falls in love with eating parfaits, and eats 3 of them before arriving to her trainers home before starting her journey in the Unova region, as Mags moved from the Hoenn region.

Mags tell Miju of the plans that she plans to do in the unova region, and shows her a list of the pokemon she wanted on her team. Miju is inspired and wants to do her best. The next day, Miju is used to capture a wild Patrat which happened to be Zaphod.

They got along very well, until their first argument after Zaphod tells her that he's seen powerful pokemon at their trainers ranch. Miju refuses to believe this, and ignores him for the rest of the day. The first time that they go to the pokemon ranch, Miju is overwhelmed with motivation. She sees several pokemon that she's never seen before, and most were of her type. She apologizes to Zaphod for her stubbornness, and they talk to each other again.

There is one pokemon on the ranch that Miju does not get along with, and that would be Mudkip the first pokemon of the whole entire ranch, and deemed their leader. They often got into fights about who'd the best water type starter. (Completely ignoring Enialator the Blastoise who doesn't care enough to enter the argument anyway.) She often played at the ranch with Zaphod and other pokemon as young as her, and wasn't fearful of Crimson the red Gyarados. While playing she stumbles into a room at the ranch and sees all the medals that the pokemon at the ranch won. She wishes to be the strongest Samurott she could be.

The next day her and Zaphod play around in the front years of their trainer's home. They talk about the pokemon at the ranch, and want to gain the approval of their trainer if they can capture a pokemon that she wanted all by themselves. They walk around the wooded area of the home and find a small group of Joltik's. She searches one specifically for the ability Compoundeyes and that's male. They bring the little Joltik with them, and instead of gaining approval, they received discipline as forcing a pokemon to go with them was a bad idea. However the joltik wanted to stay. Miju gets along well with Zidane the joltik, and laughs at his jokes. Zaphod begins to have a crush on Miju, even though she's oblivious to it.

During their journies, Miju has a hard time trying to battle Romeo the Tepig, since she starts to develop a crush on him. When he evolved into a Pignite, this motivates Miju to evolve to gain his affection. She trains hard and after a battle with a wild Timburr, she evolves into a Dewott. Shortly afterwards they become mates, much to the newly evolved Zaphod's disapproval.

Their relationship didn't last too long, as Miju discovers that Romeo has been flirting with others, and Romeo ends things between them after saying that she wasn't attractive enough. Ever since that's happened, Miju has been able to defeat Romeo easily in battle.

She used to have slight resentment for Wilson the Trubbish due to the fact that their trainer didn't plan for a Trubbish to begin with. Miju starts to gain slight interest in Zaphod's dance moves from his contest entries, however she's a terrible singer and dancer. Zaphod helps her with her dance moves and singing. She slowly improves over time.

Miju is rather naive, since she's still very young. Other then wanting to be the strongest Samurott, she also wants to have offspring of her own, and wants to be a mother. She's serious and cannot take a joke at times. Sometimes, she gets annoyed with being the only female of the team, though when she does hang around with pokemon of her gender, she's easily annoyed of them. Her tomboyish personality makes her easily gain the friendship of others of the opposite gender.

One day, she was tricked by Wilson to overhear Zaphod's love confession, and happily accepted Zaphod as her mate. They eventually had five little Oshawotts which all inherited Zaphod's move Detect.

Trivia:
*In game, Miju is a Samurott.
*In early concepts for the comic, Miju was serious in nature. This was dropped.
*In game, I had to soft reset for approximately 45 minutes before getting a female Oshawott as my starter.
*In game, Miju has two Oshawott daughters and three Oshawott sons all with the egg move Detect from Zaphod.
*Miju's movepool changes over time in the story line, as she is training.
*Eventually in the course of the story line, she will evolve.
*Miju is taller then average Dewotts.
*She has the same nature as she does in game.

Would Miju ever have a blond moment and make a bet with Wilson about Reggie's haircut?
