Bio: Zaphod the Watchog

Zaphod the Watchog
Other Names: Zaf (by Wilson and Zidane), Runt (By his mob), Sweetheart (By Miju), and Dad (by his oshawott kids)

Occupation: Security Guard at the Castelia City Mall. Also a part time contest preformer.

Relatives: Watchog father and mother, and several male and female siblings. Miju the Dewot is his mate, and he has five oshawott kids (three males and two females)

As a Patrat, he lived in the wild with a mob of Watchogs and Patrats. He was the runt of the litter. He was often the lookout for the group, however instead of watching for danger, he was watching the nearby pokemon ranches, wishing to be as strong as them. He has his eyes set on Mags's ranch due to the pokemon species that he has never seen before. He puts his mob in danger, when he looks at the ranch while a wild Mandibuzz attacks them. After the battle, Zaphod was banished from the group for putting them in danger.

While wandering around he tries to go to Mags's ranch to live there, but instead is chased away from her Mudkip who tells him "If you do not have a trainer, then you are not welcome here." Zaphod sets off to find the trainer of the ranch, and finds her house, living nearby in the wooded area, waiting for the perfect moment to encounter then to be captured.

Zaphod spends the night alone, which makes him feel insecure. His patience pays off, when he sees them set off to get the mail, and pretends to attack them. Miju asks Zaphod if he's male, and he replies with yes. Miju smirks at him and is commanded to battle him. Zaphod is captured.

Zaphod gets along well with Miju, and they often watch "Watchog Manor" on tv every afternoon. He once believed that the Zaphod on the show was him (ignoring that fact that he hasn't even evolved into a Watchog yet.) He evolved into a Watchog shortly after Miju's evolution.

He watched Miju battle and train on her own, and begins to develop a crush on her. This infatuation still continues today. The reason that he won't confess how he feels about her, is because he feels that he is not worthy enough to be her mate. He's not a strong battler, but Miju was. He found nothing about himself that could make himself stand out to her until he started contests. Only Zidane and wilson know about his crush, as he doesn't hide the fact from them.

Being a horrible battler, Mags saw this and entered Zaphod in contests. Zaphod did  surprisingly well in his first contest, but didn't win. His dance moves captured the attention of Ivy the Cinccino, and she develops a crush on him, which she doesn't hide. Zaphod is aware of this, and hates Ivy's temper. Miju enjoys watching Zaphod's dance moves and is motivated to learn from him, even if she was horrible at it.

When Miju got together with Romeo, it left Zaphod with a broken heart, though he still crushed on her. He began singing songs about heartbreak, hoping that Miju gets the hint, but the message never got through as she was oblivious to it. When they split, Zaphod was happy and tried to drop the hint himself that he liked her, again the message didn't get through to her.

He got a job as a part time security guard alongside Wilson, though he's intimidated by the other Watchog's there, as Zaphod's short height stuck during evolution.

Zaphod is a quiet individual who keeps to himself, and is always there for his friends. He's very irritated by anyone that dares to call Miju ugly, even if he loses the battle. His favorite food is pistachios. He is also slightly "power hungry" as he finds Miju as the dominant female of the team (In his society's standards) if he becomes her mate, he will be the dominant male. He is unsure what he wants to do or be in his future, but he's satisfied as long as Miju would be with him.

One day he was set up by Zidane and Wilson of his everlasting (yet annoying) love speeches. Miju overheard the conversation and accepted Zaphod as her mate. They eventually had five little Oshawotts which all inherited his move Detect.


Trivia:
*In game, Zaphod's move set, nature, and ability is the same as in the comic.
*Originally in early concepts of the comic, Zaphod was quiet in nature. This was dropped.
*Zaphod the Watchog was named in the honor of Zaphod from the show "Meerkat Manor"
*In game, Zaphod has two Oshawott daughters and three Oshawott sons with his move Detect. Their mother is Miju.
*Zaphod and Mimi share one thing in common: they both are runts.
*Zaphod, Wilson, and Reggie share two things in common: they're all males, and they were banished/exiled from their own society.
